Melting point 2852℃, boiling point 3600℃. Insoluble in water.

Application characteristics in lithium batteries:
1. Application in lithium battery
By adding an appropriate amount of nanometer magnesium oxide to the anode material of lithium ion battery, the anode material obtained has a reversible discharge capacity greater than 140mAh/g and good cycling performance.
Use in positive electrode materials can improve the conductivity, recommended additions of 0.3-0.5%.
2. Application of zinc-Nickel battery
The addition of magnesium oxide to the zinc negative active substance by physical mixing method can reduce the polarization of charge and discharge, reduce the internal resistance in the late cycle, improve the utilization ratio of the negative plate active substance, and extend the cycle life of the battery. The appropriate addition amount of magnesium oxide is 1.0%wt, and the addition amount should not exceed 2.0%.
